UMass Black Presence

Every project at the University is an opportunity to educate the world as the the ground breaking work happening on campus every day. But few opportunities rise to the level of the Black Presence project. I was fortunate enough to be the strategist on an adventure to tell the black story of the University of Massachusetts. From interviews about James Baldwin teaching at UMass, to the first Black admission in 1897, I basically had a free hand in telling the story of giants, of heroes to the area and the world. It was pretty amazing.
